NULOOK will provide comprehensive aesthetic procedures based on bio-medical technology by positioning itself as a place where people can experience high-quality K-beauty locally without having to travel to Korea.

To achieve this, the company said that the clinic is equipped with the latest Korean equipment and instruments along with CG Bio’s aesthetic products, and will specialize in complex procedures.

CG Bio also plans to operate a medical staff training center, which will provide training to local medical staff in the field of aesthetic surgery through renowned Korean doctors in the form of regular webinars and in-person training.

According to the company, it decided to open the clinic in Indonesia because the country has only 0.6 doctors per 1,000 people, despite having the world’s fourth largest population.

The number of medical tourists visiting South Korea from Indonesia also reached 5,716 in 2019, with 30 percent of them reportedly seeking cosmetic procedures. Also, interest in K-beauty has naturally been growing rapidly in recent years due to the popularity of Korean dramas and K-pop.

The company chose Bali after judging the location to be a space where medical tourism is possible due to the convergence of advanced medical standards and tourism resources.

CG Bio stressed that the new NULOOK clinic is surrounded by major attractions such as Tugu Bali, Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, Legian Beach, and Double Six Beach.

As such, the company expects to increase accessibility for tourists as well as local residents.

“Indonesia is one of the countries with high economic growth potential and high interest in cosmetic surgery globally,” CG Bio CEO Yu Hyun-seung said. “With NULOOK, CG Bio plans to expand its business to Southeast Asia in earnest.”

Using this clinic, the company will contribute to helping many people in Indonesia lead a younger and healthier life through Korea’s excellent and advanced aesthetic plastic surgery technology, he added.
